How important are champions?

In this blog I will talk about a video by Rita Pierson, "every child needs a champion". In this video, Rita Pierson talks about her experiences as an educator and the relationship that children establish with educators and how these relationships influence the classroom.

Throughout my training in academia, I have a question about how the educator can relate to children, although it is true that there are different theories about relationships with other people, but from my point of view it is not the same that the children.

Rita Pierson explains in her video that it is very important to strengthen the emotional area of ​​the children, since she says: "We have to show the other classes how to do it, so that when we walk, the people in the room will notice us, so that you can make noise. '' It is necessary to promote an environment where children can develop with high expectations since this influences the relationship with children.

That is the reason why it is very important that the educator as a promoter of learning creates and promotes different spaces where children feel confident. An example of this is to create a moment in which the children reflect together with their classmate about the different subjects, not only of the class, but also of the emotions, experiences in other things.

This video takes us to the reflection on the relationships that we as teachers establish with children and with girls within the different pedagogical spaces, because it is necessary to know the theory that exists behind each step that we take as professionals.

Reflection 
I had never listened to Rita Pierson, really her position is very contextualized with pedagogical practice, often as educators we relate superiorly with children and with girls limiting relationships in a pleasant, pleasant and comfortable environment for boys and girls It could be much more favorable for your learning and daily living.
Without a doubt, being able to reflect on these important issues in the educational field means a lot to my teacher training since it reaffirms once again that I am in a career that really frames social relations as a main axis.

I am currently doing my fourth practice process in a community kindergarten, where we exactly talk about these each day and how important is the language that is established with children.
From my own reflection and what I saw in this video I rescued emotional development significantly and how this affects the development of children and can reach a wide gap between an educator that promotes a good development and management of emotions and an educator who does not promote experiences and pedagogical spaces in this field.
To conclude, this experience writing and being able my point of view and perception about the video of the exposed thing by an outstanding educator, without a doubt the teaching roll is key to harness the best learnings in the boys and girls and above all that these can be significant and own of each boy and girl respecting their particularities and singularities that to each subject characterize in the life.
